We had a great experience in the room Gold Nugget Saloon. There were lots of interesting puzzles. Our bartender, Remy, was very nice and really brought the game alive. We will definitely be back!
The room we tried was fun and just the right level of difficulty. The decor and props were incredibly well crafted!
We were very well welcomed. We had the chance to play 3 games and had a lot of fun. The puzzles are different from what we had done before, and most importantly, they make sense within the game we are in. Thank you very much for this great time.
What an amazing game. I had a lot of fun playing the Zodiac. I highly recommend Fox 🦊 in the box to first time escapees. Great setting great staff and great location and accommodation. Will definitely go back
Escape games Fox in a Box Sherbrooke
5087 Boul Bourque suite 1, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1N 2K6, Canada
Fox in a Box – Sherbrooke is a partner of the internationally renowned franchise: Fox in a box. Fox in a box is a leader in the escape room industry and its games have been played by over 1.8 million players. We provide an immersive escape room experience with unique and proven games.
The price varies depending on the number of players, day of the week, time of day and the room selected. The best way is to go to https://www.foxinaboxsherbrooke.com/reservation/multiple and enter the date, time and number of people. Rates for businesses are a fixed rate per room from a reservation of 5 rooms or more. Please also note that once the reservation is confirmed, we do not issue refunds. However, you can change the date and time of your reservation free of charge if you do so at least 48 hours in advance. There will be a fee of $50 + taxes if you cancel or modify your reservation less than 48 hours in advance. If you do not show up on the day of your reservation. No refunds or changes of date and time will be accepted.
This is an activity and everything you need will be provided. Some key notes: dress comfortably. You will be moving and you will be excited. High heels, haute couture and strong perfumes will not be suitable. Speaking of high heels, no tools are needed. Electronic devices will be stored safely for you. It's about using your mind and communicating clearly with the rest of your team. Participating under the influence of substances will not help and is strongly discouraged. Anyone considered to be “too under the influence” will be asked to leave the premises. You will be sufficiently stimulated without needing additional stimulants. You will be required to sign a release form before participating. It can be completed before you arrive here. If you're looking for more tips, check out Escape Rooms 101 by Scott Nicholson. It’s a great introduction to the genre and what to expect.
Please arrive at the time set for your game. We allow some wiggle room, but if you arrive more than 5 minutes after the set time, you may lose part or all of your time slot. This is because each mission runs on a 90 minute cycle; we cannot cause delays for other teams following yours. You will need a few minutes to check in and take any last minute breaks. Next, 5 minutes will be spent on an introduction that will include the scope of your mission as well as the rules of the game. Each mission lasts up to 60 minutes (less if you escape early). After the game, a few extra minutes are set aside to take your team photo; most teams also want to talk about their specific gaming experience. The entire event lasts between 80 and 90 minutes.
Teams are generally made up of 3 to 6 players. The ideal group is made up of 3 to 5 players. Although two people can play, it is much more difficult to complete the mission and there is a minimum fee for 2 players, but you will still enjoy the experience. If you are a larger group (7+), we recommend splitting into multiple rooms or playing Life Sentence: Head to Head. So everyone will have a lot of fun.
Our rooms have different levels of accessibility; People with reduced mobility requiring the assistance of a wheelchair or walker can take full advantage of some of our rooms. If you have any concerns, please contact us to discuss them before reserving a room. Our missions have no real fear factor and are all private, so are suitable for those who are concerned about sharing an experience with strangers or those who scare easily. Seating is readily available in the room(s) if a team member needs to rest for a while. In summary, although you won't be physically challenged, you will be mentally challenged, so be prepared for that. If you have any special considerations or questions, please feel free to email info@foxinaboxsherbrooke.com for more information.
Our escape rooms are ideal for children and teenagers. Each room is equipped with a dedicated Game Master who monitors and listens to what is happening in the rooms. We encourage children to explore, solve clues and work together as a team, but the Game Master can provide multiple clues as needed to advance the game. Some rooms are more suitable for younger players. We are modifying the adult versions of Sentence for Life and The Bunker for a younger audience. Recommended age is 10 and up, but everyone is welcome to play. Children under 8 play for free. Persons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult on site during play, but are not required to participate in play.
No. Fox in a Box – Sherbrooke has taken the escape room experience to the next level, with missions going beyond a simple escape. Teams must successfully complete a themed mission by completing numerous tasks along the way. The door to the room is closed but unlocked during the entire 60-minute session. Those attempting to escape the prison have a "panic button" that will unlock their cell in the event of claustrophobia or another emergency, but doing so will result in losing the current game. If an unscheduled bathroom break is necessary, participants can exit and return to most games, with the exception of prematurely unlocking the cell in the prison.
No, but we strongly suggest you book in advance.
Fox in a Box – Sherbrooke is the ideal place to organize a children's birthday party. With Bistro Fox in a Box, we have enough space to accommodate groups of up to 57 people. We also offer food and drinks or you can choose something prepared by our Foodies Pizza Delight or Sushi Taxi caterers.
The emphasis in all our rooms is on fun, so dramatic tension, surprising sound effects and somber music are used. Particularly sensitive people (like my 13-year-old daughter) might be frightened or disturbed. As for gore, in the case of Zodiac there will be blood, periods of group separation and periods of darkness – the room is restricted to people 18 and over. In the case of a life sentence, you will be locked up (but with a “panic button” that lets you out completely). The Bunker is an attempt to save the world from nuclear annihilation, which some might consider scary (my 13-year-old daughter was perfectly comfortable with it). And if you're not sure whether you want to rob the Bank, please know that our guards are unarmed and the worst (or best) that could happen is that you are sent to Prison (additional fees and prior arrangements are required).
Unfortunately, standard reservations are limited to 1 hour. In rare cases, at the game master's discretion, you may be allowed a little extra time... but hey, you might just get trapped in another dimension...
All our rooms are from the Fox in a Box franchise based in Sweden. So if you haven't played a Fox in a Box, you won't have played our theaters. (For those wondering why this question exists, many escape game companies purchase rooms from design suppliers, change names, etc. And for people who have played many escape games, it is entirely possible that these players are experiencing the same exact room, albeit under a different name. As you can imagine, it's a frustrating experience for all parties.)
